COMMUNITY EVENT AT PPR BERINGIN- PART 2

We continued our sessions with the enthusiastic Beringin ladies. We started with a session on mental health challenges, discussing their daily stressors and how to overcome them. These covered the six aspects of self-care, which are emotional, physical, mental, social, spiritual and practical self-care. Later, a career guidance session was held. The skill assessment test was applied to determine suitable job options based on personality.

NUTRITIONAL TALKS

Malaysia’s consumer price index (CPI) increased by 2.3 percent in April 2022. According to the Statistics Department, the rise in CPI compared with the same period in the previous year was due to higher food prices. Such issues are barriers to maintaining a balanced diet when income is limited. Associate Professor Dr. Satvidner Kaur, aligned her talk on how the B40 communities could ensure nutrition consumption in which food prices and cost of living were considered to meet the dietary needs of a low-income population.
